I've been going to Dr.Gayle for eight years and everyone, including the new receptionist, is phenomenal.

I want to take a moment to dispel the racist review made by Oria B. because that is a very inaccurate representation/accusation of this business. I'd like to preface that I am an African American female. I find Dr. Gayle & his staff helpful, preofessional, and funny. Dr. Gayle has had me cracking up on that chair and every visit he has a new story or anecdote to share. The staff and I typically guffaw over life's events and share family stories. Oh, and don't get me started on the late text I used to send and the beginning of my journey! I can't tell you how many calls I made for urgent appointment requests - most of which were happily obliged by staff immediately. They've never made me feel uncomfortable about it either as convenience was their focus.

If such a comment was made by Dr. Gayle, I garuntee it was the individual being entitled and not in any way tied to the individual's race. It's very easy/convenient to assign the race card when it is time to take accountability for elevated/entitled attitudes. My advice: Take the feedback and grow.

I will take his honesty and change not one thing about him in his industry. He has saved me thousands of dollars from dentist trying to upsale and take my money. Dr. Gayle's direct attitude is a reflection of the business he hope to run - honesty and I can fully prescribe to that.

My only tip is, don't be late. Honor their time and yours and be on time. They are a boutique office that stays busy and honors boutique/family values.

The dental hygienist is very thorough and friendly, which puts me at ease. Dr. Gayle spends time with me to make sure that any questions or concerns I might have are addressed before I leave the office. Very cool environment if you are a sports enthusiast!

I have EXTREME dental anxiety, so for anyone else out there who may also struggle with that I wanted to share my story.
My bonding on my front tooth broke, so I had to go in to see Dr. Gayle.
We talked about my options and he encouraged me to go with bonding again since it would be 100% covered by my insurance. He didn’t try and “sell me” on the most expensive repair.
Unfortunately I had forgotten my earbuds so I could have music. Both Dr. Gayle and his Dental Assistant, Lizette, searched for alternative options so I could still have some music to help calm me down. Eventually using Lizette’s personal cell phone and headphones!
Dr. Gayle gave me the time I needed to relax and breathe the gas before he started. Once he began he kept giving me gentle reminders to breathe in thru my nose and out thru my mouth when other dentists would just scold me for not breathing properly for the gas to work. I have TMJ and it’s hard to keep my mouth open for a long period of time, so he was always checking to see if I needed a break.
Then the song “Broken Halos” by Chris Stapleton came on Lizette’s phone - such a beautiful song. Tears of both anxiety and gratitude started to roll down my cheeks. Both Lizette and Dr. Gayle started to dab my tears with tissues!! It was the most compassionate dental experience I have ever had!
From Wendy at the front desk to Maria, the dental hygienist and Lizette, the dental assistant all the way up to Dr Gayle - the entire team at this dental office is extraordinary! They are more than competent, compassionate and patient. Highly skilled at what they do! I am so glad to have found such an amazing team! Thank you for all you do to talk we in off the ledge of dental anxiety and to keep me smiling!!

I moved to Houston a month ago and needed dental work completed prior to my previous employer's insurance being cancelled at the end of the month. I went in with no referral and not knowing anyone who had been to see Dr Gayle. I was MORE than impressed. All of my appointments were on time. The entire staff ia friendly, professional and gentle. Dr Gayle made me feel comfortable and worked to make sure everything was completed before my insurance ran out. If you are looking for a dentist this is where you need to go!!! I am so lucky to have found him on a blind Google search. You will be glad you went too!

I was recently referred to Dr. Gayle and am so lucky to have found such a kind, professional and caring dentist. Sadly, I am cursed with dental issues and Dr. Gayle went out of his way to make me feel like it was no big deal. So far I have had two crowns and a filling with virtually no pain and in record time! Dr. Gayle's staff are equally amazing and so very kind. It is reassuring to know that you are in excellent care each time you step into his office.

Dr Gayle and all of his hygenists I have met over the last several years are wonderful and kind people and extremely professional. I had been to several other dentists in Houston and was tired of all the constant upselling and telling me I had cavities when I did not. The person who recommended I go to him is an African American I work with, so I'm not sure what happened with the poster who says he was mistreated, I find that very difficult to believe. I highly recommend him and his team if you want standard, regular care and are terrified of being told you need to spend thousands of dollars when you have pretty good teeth... I can't speak for major dental work, but I did have a crown replaced and that was not an unpleasant - or expensive - experience (I do have insurance).

Best dentist I've ever had, hands down. Caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable with excellent staff as well. Great sense of humor and very kind. Not out for an easy buck, which is more than I can say for other Houston area dentists. He's done several fillings, a root canal, and a couple crowns for me and I've never once had a problem, despite my super-sensitive teeth and my anxiety going to any dentist - he puts you at ease and makes sure you are comfortable, explaining every step of the process. He even went over options with my husband who had a cracked molar, and explained that while he could crown it (which would make him more money), the crown would most likely fail after a while and he'd have to extract the tooth, so he would be better off just extracting it now, but gave him the choice - my husband ultimately chose the extraction and had no problems with the procedure and healed up great. We now live over 50 miles away and still make time to go back into the city to see Dr Gayle - we've never found anyone better! Great practice around.

I’ve had an amazing experience with Dr. Gayle over the past 3 years. He’s the first dentist I’ve ever been to that doesn’t try to sell me. I chose to undergo some cosmetic enhancements this year and Dr. Gayle’s office took care of me perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with my results. The cherry on top, it’s always a pleasure to chat with Dr. Gayle and I always leave the office feeling great!

Dr. Gayle is such a good dentist, honest and advised me to not go through a procedure that would have been very profitable for him but he didn’t care and told me the truth. His staff are also very professional and competent!

I had such a great experience with Dr. Gayle, which is something I never thought I’d say about a dentist. I’ve never not left the dentist crying. I have extreme anxiety and feel some intense shame surrounding my teeth. I did not feel the least embarrassed leaving my appointment. He was professional and encouraging. The hygienist/assistant (I don’t know which capacity she was working in) was incredibly friendly and read that I was feeling nervous and spent extra time with me just talking to help put me at ease. Highly recommend!
